Cooking is hard. This I’ve come to realize. You know what’s even harder? Cooking something for the first time. You don’t know what problems you might encounter, what signs to look for or which techniques work (or more importantly, which ones don’t work).
I’m here to be your cooking crash test dummy. Know of a recipe that sounds great, but you can’t be bothered to try it/are afraid of burning off your eyebrows/don’t own a stove? Submit it, and maybe I’ll try it out for you. (Include the URL of your website or blog so I can give you some link love!)
My only caveats:
- The recipes I try are (mostly) vegetarian, since I (mostly) am one. Sometimes I might throw in fish. Fair warning.
- I am NOT an awesome cook. That’s the whole point. My expertise comes almost entirely from books, blogs and the Food Network–not from real life.
- No guarantees on the whole “you submit it, I try it” thing. If you want to try out a saffron-marinated black truffle caviar pie, you’re just gonna have to look elsewhere. This gal ain’t made of money.
